Güney is a Marketing, Communication and Retail expert with +25 years of experience in managing various brands and businesses operating both in Online and Offline.
He holds 2 bachelor degrees in both Statistics, and Industrial Engineering and a Masters Degree in Economics in the Middle East Technical University. He has also completed Marketing Degree in Bosporus University in Istanbul.
He had started his career in local business consultancy companies during his school years, and after his graduation he had transitioned into Marketing and Communication world working 4 years in 2 of the global network agencies; Omnicom OMD and Universal McCann where he had managed offline and online mass media communication of various brands, including;
The Coca Cola Company, Henkel, Mercedes, Yapı Kredi Bank, Ülker, etc.
He had then worked for almost 15 years in Nike, gaining experience in various countries and regions having been employed in various roles, such as;
– Retail Marketing Manager in Nike Turkey
– Regional Retail Marketing Manager in Nike Middle East office in Dubai, responsible for all GCC countries
– Marketing Manager in Nike Budapest, responsible for the Central Europe
– and Market Place Development Director in Nike Turkey
He had been hired by SAMSUNG Mobile Turkey in 2020, to manage the offline retail and key account marketing operation, for a business worth of almost a billion US volume with an internal and external team more than 600 people.
Finally in 2022 he has joined m2L as Managing Partner and Team Lead, where he continues to work for major global and local brands, and helping their needs in marketing, communication and retail areas, while providing leadership and coaching to the agency team.
